Silk Route (丝绸之路)

Well...trying to use Blogger after seeing my friends posting and sharing some beautiful, funny, sometimes awkward and sometimes memorable moments of their semester abroad, especially those who are in India. Being an Indian, its sometimes difficult to conceive some intrinsic features inbuilt in our society from inside. Though imperfect, mysterious and puzzling for others, India seems to me even puzzling from outside i.e from Germany. No doubt, I love the way it is but that doesn`t mean that I am undermining the drawbacks and taking everything for granted.

There would not have been a better name for my blog other than "Silk Route". I was looking for something that was common to India, Europe and China. Coming from India, studying Cultural Foundations of Europe in Konstanz/Germany and leaving on 28th August, 2011 for Shanghai for the semester abroad make this choice perfect. The futuristic, mystic and the forbidden appeal of China was the most important reasons behind my decision, though other factors could not be undermined. After bargaining through day to day life and beating the odds, I am finally going to China. It was rather a tough journey, but not impossible, as impossible itself means i-m-possible. So looking forward to my stay in Shanghai/China with a great zeal....nín hǎo Zhong guo!
